FAQs

"Why should I go networking?"

Networking is a great way to meet new business contacts. Networking helps you to find people who actually understand the unique stress and wins of running a business. You’ll be able to share and receive advice, brainstorm, and ask questions you can't ask employees or clients. It’s about building long term business relationships, people buy from, and refer to, people they actually like and trust.

"What kind of businesses usually attend?"

We have a great mix of industries, including HR, Business Coaches, Marketers, Financial Advisers, Accountants, Wellbeing Coaches, Mortgage advisers, Heath and Safety, Psychotherapist, Solicitors and Virtual Assistants. They are primarily solo business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.

"What is the format of an In Business networking event?"

It's a relaxed and informal event in a welcoming environment, where we facilitate conversations. We encourage you to move around the room, ensuring you get the best experience from the event.

"Do I have to bring a referral to an in Business networking event?"

Absolutely not, we don't put you under that pressure, but you will naturally refer people you have met at our events when you get to know them. Likewise, they will be your advocates when they get to know you.

“Can I attend an In Business networking meeting before becoming a member?”

Please feel free to attend any of our events on a pay-as-you-go basis to help you discover how In Business will work for you.

“What should I prepare ahead of a networking event?”

All you need is a pen, paper/pad for making notes at an online meeting and some business cards for in-person events. Be open-minded and keen to participate! It’s also helpful to give some thought to how you help your clients so you can explain easily what you do and think about who you would most like to connect with.

”What should I wear to a networking event?”

You can wear what you would normally wear for business, and what you feel comfortable in.

“What happens if I can’t attend a meeting once I become a member?”

If you are unable to attend, it would be great to have someone else from within your organisation to come to the meeting to represent your business.

"Aside from the main meetings, are there other ways members connect?"

Yes, we have an active WhatsApp group and an In Business App

“What should I do to make sure that In Business works for me?”

One REALLY important thing is to arrange regular 1-2-1 meetings with each member. Meet for a coffee and an informal chat; this will help you strengthen your relationship and learn more about how you can help each other.

“How much does it cost to become a member of In Business?”

For full membership it's £39 per month, no VAT and lite membership is £25 per month, no VAT

"What do members say they get out of this group the most?"

What members value most is that Tracey and Ian take the awkwardness out of networking. They curate a warm, friendly, and highly supportive community of like-minded people that feels safe for beginners but drives serious financial returns for established businesses.
